A Quality Photo Booth Picture is Worth 2502 Words…

Hello 2012! First, a quick thank you to all of our clients, industry friends, and the wonderful Boardwalk staff for making our first 2 years a smashing success! It has been a whirlwind, with over 250 events under our belts since we opened our doors, all executed perfectly with 100% customer satisfaction!

"No. Leave them to me. I will deal with them myself."

The Saga Continues…

When Carolyn and I launched Boardwalk in 2010, there were no other photo booth companies in Hampton Roads. Since then, it seems that there’s a new photo booth “company” popping up about once a month, claiming to have “the best photo booth”, “the best staff”, and the “best picture quality.” We’ve seen them all, and actually researched many of them before deciding to have our booths custom fabricated to our specifications vs. buying into a franchise, purchasing a “turn-key” photo booth, or building a photo booth out of plywood and household curtains in our garage (seems to be a new trend in Hampton Roads). With 2012 heating up, and the bridal show season in full swing, we thought we’d take a moment to talk a bit about photo booth picture quality…

All of our vintage-inspired photo booths are equipped with identical Canon digital cameras and professional flash systems. Each booth also carries an identical backup Canon camera. To show off the true capabilities of our photo booth cameras, Carolyn and I decided it would be fun to grab one out of a booth a take it along on a recent Western Caribbean cruise. The photo booth camera was the only camera we took on our trip to capture all of the memories.

You’ll find a few images from our trip below.

Bon Voyage!

This my my first cruise, and I knew I would be amazed at the number of people that fit onto a cruise ship that was almost 1000 feet long. To this day, I am still so impressed with everything that has to come together to make sure 3000+ people are safely fed (and I mean REALLY fed), sufficiently entertained, and tended to like royalty. It’s a well oiled machine, folks. If you’ve been contemplating going on a cruise but are afraid you might feel claustrophobic, I must encourage you to take the plunge. We had the time of our lives.

Leaving Ft. Lauderdale

A shot of “The Sanctuary”, an all adult oasis located near the rear of the ship complete with a private pool, multiple hot tubs, and spa services. There weren’t many kids on this cruise, so we never felt the need to “get away”, but it did look tempting…

The Sanctuary

One of things about the Crown Princess that Carolyn knew I would love was “Movies Under the Stars”, an outdoor movie theater with a jumbo screen right above the pool! At night, they put out blankets and pillows, and even rolled out a giant vintage popcorn machine. From The Social Network to Despicable Me, they had something for everyone. This was so, so cool!

Movies Under the Stars

Neither Carolyn or I are much on gambling, but we did stroll into the casino and hit the ol’ “one armed bandits” for a few. I think we were up about 5 dollars, but greed stepped in and we lost it all. We left the casino feeling battered and broken, but we managed to swallow our pride and carry on…

Gatsby's Casino

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being in the Caribbean Sea on a cruise ship. It’s so quiet, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt so small. Standing out on the balcony of our stateroom, I looked West (I think), and realized that we weren’t actually alone

The Caribbean Sea

The silhouette on the horizon looked ominous, so I decided that this would be a great time to test the zoom capabilities of the photo booth camera, just in case someone ever wanted an extreme closeup. After getting a closer look, I breathed a sign of relief – A Celebrity cruise ship – not the Black Pearl…

Celebrity Cruise Ship

Our first Port O’ Call – The Cayman Islands

For anyone who’s been there, you’ll probably agree that the port in the Cayman’s isn’t quite the “island paradise” you were hoping for at first glance. It’s quite industrial and certainly not the prettiest place on the island.

For some strange reason, when we went to shore, we felt immediately welcomed.

Could there really be photo booths in the Cayman Islands?

We have no idea what purpose this little shack served, and there was nobody around to tell us. We were drawn to it’s color against the sky and had to get a picture.

The Love Shack?

Welcome to HELL!

Our first stop in the Cayman Islands was called “Hell.” It’s a total tourist trap, but inside you can buy a postcard and mail it back to the states, so when you get home you can tell everyone you sent them a “postcard from hell.” We couldn’t resist the temptation, so we jumped on the bandwagon and sent a few ourselves. Sure enough, that’s exactly where the postmarks said they came from. When you walk in, the old guy who owns the place screams “Welcome to Hell!” It’s a lot like walking into Moe’s for lunch, but way creepier.

Hell sells t-shirts everyone. Who knew?

Our next stop in the Cayman Islands was one that Carolyn had been anxiously awaiting. The fastest way to her heart? Not exactly what you’d think.

The Cayman Island Turtle Farm

Everyone who knows Carolyn is probably aware of her love for turtles, so this was a must-do on our trip.

Turtles are a girl's best friend...

Our last stop in the Cayman Islands was Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. We thought it would be a safe bet for food and drinks. This particular Margaritaville restaurant was different than others I’d been to. It was wide open with a DJ spinning reggae music and a really authentic vibe (vs. say, the Margaritaville at Universal Studios). The American dollar didn’t go far, though…a few tacos and 3 (delicious) Margaritas each set us back about $125.00. A far cry from all of the amazing free food on the ship, which was our next stop on this day.

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville - Cayman Islands

Next Port O’ Call – Roatan, Honduras

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Roatan, and during the month leading up to our trip gave Carolyn a hard time about choosing Honduras as a Port O’ Call. “Who in the world goes to Honduras, Carolyn?”…”Have you ever met anyone who’s been to Honduras, Carolyn.” Looking back at the trip, Roatan was probably my favorite stop on the cruise.

As we approached the island, we noticed quite a few ships that had run aground many years ago and are now permanent fixtures in Roatan. The channel is quite narrow, so the captain actually had to rotate the ship 180 degrees and back it into the docks. He did it with silky-smooth perfection. Here’s a shot off of our starboard side balcony as we were moving backwards into the harbor.

Roatan, Honduras

Once we disembarked in Roatan, we got a chance to look back and catch a shot of the stern of the Crown Princess from the dock. Notice the stranded ships decaying in background.

"Baby Got Back" - the stern of the Crown Princess

The island of Roatan was absolutely beautiful and FAR more welcoming than the Cayman Islands. After a short walk from the ship, we took some time to stop and smell the flowers…

The beauty of Roatan, Honduras - captured from a photo booth camera.

We decided to do some snorkeling in Roatan, and were delighted when the guide took us to our own private beach!

Private Beach Snorkeling - Roatan, Honduras

After about an hour of snorkeling off the beach and another hour on the reef, we enjoyed a great lunch. We decided to take a walk around the island and were quickly greeted by a few of the locals…a bunch of wild monkeys! They come out around lunchtime to feast on the food left behind by the tourists. They were quite friendly and weren’t afraid to get close – taking food right out of our hands!

Wild monkeys!

Back onto the beach – we ran across the only guy who’s job might be better than ours. This little plane took off and landed at least 20 times while we were there. It cost about $200 for two people to take a 10 minute flight around the island. When he wasn’t flying, he would beach the plane and read a book with his feet hanging out the window. Not a bad gig!

Sea Plane, Sea Plane!

As our day on Roatan came to an end, it was time to get back on board the Crown Princess. We headed back to our stateroom to freshen up and caught a quick shot of the island from our balcony as we were sailing away. Roatan was absolutely gorgeous.

Leaving Roatan

Next Port O’ Call – Cozumel, Mexico

I’d never been to Mexico, so I was truly excited about this stop. I had so many expectations – but what would MEXICO actually be like?

The port at Cozumel, Mexico

There were only a couple of things we really wanted to do in Cozumel. The first was to see the Mayan Ruins – which proved to be, well, ruined! There really wasn’t much to see here, and to be honest, it was kind of a disappointment.

Shawn in Cozumel

Much more entertaining that the ruins themselves were all of the iguanas that called this area home. They were everywhere in all shapes, sizes, and colors. They were quite intimidating, but none of them made a run at us….

Iguanas at the Mayan Ruins

After the ruins, I stopped for some pole dancing…

Who would install a perfectly good dancin' pole right in front of an old, abandoned dive shop?

After this embarrassing display, we were determined to find some authentic Mexican food and Margaritas. On the way to the restaurant, we spotted this really cool old doorway. Cozumel was full of color and texture like this, and I had to have a picture.

No one gets in to see the Wizard...no one... Fortunately, nobody popped there head out of that hole while we were standing there.

The cruise director told us we should hit up “La Choza” for the best chips, salsa, and Margaritas in Cozumel. The restaurant was fabulous.

The La Choza Margaritas were truly amazing, but unfortunately they were "on the rocks". Ice is made from water, and we all know what happens when you drink the water in Mexico....

As the day came to an end, it was time to head back to the ship. As we made our way through the streets of Cozumel, we stumbled into a tiny little bar full of locals. We decided to try a local brew and loved the “wild, wild, west” look of the bottles behind the bar.

We'll try a shot of each, please...

If you’ve never stood next to a cruise ship, trust me when I tell you that this picture does not do it justice!

Talk about tunnel vision. That Carnival cruise ship wasn't there when we arrived in Cozumel. It was big - but not nearly as large as The Crown Princess!

When we woke up the next morning…with banging headaches from our explorations in Cozumel, we were already moored just off of Princess Cay – the cruise line’s own private island in the Bahamas. It was absolutely gorgeous.

Princess Cay

We spent about 3 hours snorkeling and relaxing in the sun on Princess Cay. Truly a masterpiece island for Princess Cruises. On the way back to the ship, we came across this super cool looking sign. It was one of the first times I stopped to think about how far I was from home.

A gentle reminder of how far from home we actually were...

…and home was our next stop after cruising back to Ft. Lauderdale to depart the ship.

We had a blast! To anyone who’s ever considered a cruise, we must encourage you to do so. Carolyn and I will likely never vacation any other way – ever!

If you’ve been thinking about booking a photo booth for your upcoming wedding or special event, we also encourage you to do so! Photo booths are true game-changers, giving your guests something new to do in addition to mingling, drinking, eating, and dancing. Best of all, our photo booths create instant party favors that last a lifetime!

Be sure to do your research when considering a photo booth company. All of the photos above were taken from one of our photo booth cameras, so just magine how amazing the photos taken from inside our photo booths look. Many of the photo booths that have recently invaded the Hampton Roads market use simple web-cams to capture tiny, grainy shots. Most don’t have a flash (never, ever settle for a photo booth without a professional flash system). Some are plastic, some are modular, some are plywood, and some were clearly constructed in someone’s garage. Carolyn and I pride ourselves in providing the best photo booths in the industry. Our booths are beautiful, fit well in any venue or atmosphere, take amazing hi-resolution photos, and come with something else that no other photo booth service can provide…Carolyn and I, our amazing staff, and 5-Star rated customer service!

Thanks to all of our Brides and Grooms for voting The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company #1 in the Hampton Roads market.

If you’d like to learn more about our services, make an appointment to visit The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company Studio in Virginia Beach. We can discuss your event personally and you can test drive one of our vintage-inspired photo booths for yourself.

We’d love to see you!

“Old News” – Meet our Photo-Me Model 12 – A Photo Booth With a Past

In a recent search for arcade games to add to the Boardwalk collection, we noticed what appeared to be the silhouette of an old photo booth in an online picture of a Donkey Kong arcade game. It was blurry and a total shot in the dark, but on a hunch, we contacted the seller to ask if our eyes were playing tricks on us. Indeed, it was a circa 1959 Photo-Me Model 12, one of the most celebrated photo booths of all time. Here’s a photo sent to us by the seller:

After perusing a few other photos sent by the seller in Maryland, we decided to purchase the photo booth and have it delivered – the same day – to our office in Virginia Beach. On arrival, the task of moving the 700 pound photo booth into the Boardwalk office proved even more difficult that we’d imagined as, when placed on piano dollies, it is actually too tall to clear a standard door frame. With some head-scratching and acts of super-human strength, we managed to get the old booth into position with the arcades and other photo booths in our office. Here’s a shot before any cleaning, although you may notice that Carolyn did peel the “5” off of the the plaque next to the photo strip chute (you can see it in the first photo).

After contacting our colleagues in Chicago, who restore these photo booths professionally, we got super excited about resurrecting this beautiful photo booth and returning it to its former – full chemical – glory. That’s right, this booth will be restored to a perfectly working “dip and dunk” chemical photo booth and be fully operational in the Boardwalk Photo Booth Company office. Check out these pictures and then read on…

After a little research on Easter Sunday, we learned that, among who knows how many other places (we are going to try and trace the history), this photo booth likely spent much of it’s life at the Sylvan Beach Amusement Park, in upstate New York. We know from Photobooth.net that it was there in 2006, but we don’t know how long before that. This Model 12 could be found amongst 2 other photo booths in the Carousel area of the park, which was the indoor home to their carousel, which dates back to the late 1890’s and can still be found in the park today. Below is a picture of the photo booth at the Sylvan Beach Amusement Park.

If you’re a skeptic, notice the “5” stickers on the red plaque on the front of the booth and on the “Take Your Own Miniature Portraits” signs, which Carolyn peeled off of the booth shortly after it arrived to our office (you can still see the sticker residue if you look closely). Again, you can see this “5” in the first photo of this article, as well as on the yellow sign of each picture. We’re still trying to decide how we feel about removing these stickers, but they likely would have been removed in the restoration. Nonetheless, they were actually there, and you can still match up the photo strips on the sign of the first, second, third, and fourth photos strips on the yellow sign with the picture of the photo booth at Sylvan Park. You can also see the booths in the background of this photo of the Carousel:

Here’s a shot of a Model 12 in it’s full glory. Notice the “wings” on the top of the booth. Many photo booth vendors ended up removing this piece to fit the units through doorways. After the experience moving our Model 12, we understand why, but will be replacing this piece and hopefully the back-lit sign. Special thanks to Robert at http://stripof4.com for this cool vintage photo!

As a collector of vintage things, it’s not often that you can get a glimpse of the history of an item. This is the type of purchase that we LOVE, and having this classic beauty in our collection of digital photo booths is a true testimony to the vintage-inspiration that goes into our service every single day.

If you’d like to stop by and see this Model 12, along with our collection of vintage arcade games and the Boardwalk Photo Booths that have made us famous, just drop us a line at info@boardwalkphotoboothcompany.com and we’ll be happy to setup a time for you to come in.

Stay tuned for more photo booth love and updates on the restoration of this classic piece of American history….

What’s new at The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company?

It might be easier to tell you what isn’t…

First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who’s supported us and our little endeavor. There’s no question that we came out of the gates swinging in January 2010, and so many of you instantly got behind us and “pushed”. With well over 100 events behind us in 2010 alone, we know that none of it would have been possible without the support of our friends, family, and fellow wedding vendors.

The first quarter has brought lots of changes to The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company! First, a change of scenery, as we moved from our home office in Chesapeake to our swanky new studio at Wayside Village. What a huge step for the better! Our clients and vendor friends are loving the space, and it is the perfect Virginia Beach location to call home. We are no longer alone in this industry, so it’s nice to have added another level of legitimacy to our business and once again set ourselves apart -not to mention that quitting your real job and opening a super-sweet-and-trendy office a half mile from Town Center simply rocks! The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company is a FULL TIME business, and we think the difference is easy to see.

Next…we’ve added a third photo booth to our stable. After sampling the opinions of several previous (and upcoming clients), as well as many of our close vendor friends, the decision was to fabricate a photo booth that’s identical to the two that we already have. The vintage-charm of our photo booths has certainly been paramount to our success. As they say, “if it ain’t broke…” Well you know the rest.

What else is new? Well, this winter we added a transformation option to each of our photo booths, giving us the ability to S-T-R-E-T-C-H them out to make room for even more crazy people. Roughly 2 feet longer, it’s amazing how many people we can fit into the booths while still keeping to their proper sit-down styling.

Cram factor achieved…and now stretched!

More to come…stay tuned.

Movin’ on up…

Whew! A lot can happen in a year’s time! The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company opened it’s doors on January 20th, 2010 with one photo booth and a mission – bring a more authentic photo booth experience to Hampton Roads. Carolyn and I never imagined that in the year to come, we’d handle over 70 photo booth events, acquire a fantastic staff, and have to design and purchase a second photo booth to handle the masses.

2011 is here, and with it comes great change and a roll of the dice as Shawn has officially retired from his 22 year DJ career with Astro Entertainment to focus solely on The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company. What will the New Year bring? Well for starters, a new place to hang our big, goofy photo booth hats. In February, the Boardwalk Photo Booth Company studio will open in The Wayside Village Shoppes in Virginia Beach. Our office has deep roots, as it was formerly occupied by Ramone Photography, who moved right next door and will be a fantastic neighbor. Right down the hall and up the stairs you’ll find Antonia Christianson Events. Missy and her crew have already warned us that, when they aren’t busy designing the perfect wedding, they’ll be spending lots of face time in our photo booth during the day, trying to perfect their photo booth poses. We have lots of other great neighbors too, like Salon Avanti, Coastal Catering Company (a fantastic little restaurant), The Fabric Factor, Willis Furniture & more!

The Boardwalk office will be a fantastic place for clients (and vendor friends) to come and meet Carolyn and I personally, experience the photo booths, select their scrapbook and layout options, and even grab a quick game of Ms. Pac-Man (yes, there will vintage arcade games in the space as well, not just photo booths.) We are so excited to have this beautiful space to expand our business.

Special thanks to all of the local vendors who supported our venture from the start, and to our fantastic crew – Brianna, Jessica, Nikki, Kathy, Becky, Tiffany & Gary for helping to make 2010 much more than we ever expected.

Here’s to to a fun-filled 2011!

Cara & Phil: A Formal Throwdown!

The Setting: The Chrysler Museum of Art
The Bride: Cara Antinarella
The Groom: Phil Crosby
The Accessories: Signature Weddings, Astro Entertainment, Cuisine & Company, The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company, Tidewater Productions, Images In Light Photography & Shockley’s Sweet Shoppe

If you’ve never attended a wedding at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, it really is a special place for a celebration. No matter how many times I’ve performed there as a DJ (and I lost count long ago), it’s always breathtaking.

Cara had booked me as the DJ though Astro Entertainment, and then found out about our photo booth and quickly added it to her “must have” list. She was the very first bride to book with The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company when she signed up in early 2010. With over fifty photo booth events under our belt by the time her party started on Saturday, her wedding was still extra special to us. I still remember thinking how cool it was that our first client was a Chrysler Museum bride.

On top of it all, Cara booked Carolyn as her wedding coordinator. For those that don’t know, Carolyn has her own very successful coordinating business, Signature Weddings, and has been on the Chrysler’s preferred vendor list for some time. To sum it all up, Cara and Phil had booked us for DJ, wedding coordinating, and the photo booth. Way back in January we knew that September 25, 2010 was going to be a big day.

From load in to load out, the day went off without a hitch. Well, if there was a hitch, I certainly didn’t see it. Carolyn was buzzing around the Chrysler in her normal calm, cool, and collected way. Always on top of it…always crossing t’s and dotting i’s. Cara was an extremely organized and detailed bride…but in a good way…she knew exactly what she wanted and was able to convey that to Carolyn from the very beginning. She designed her centerpieces herself and Carolyn & Becky were able to bring her vision to life perfectly. Dina Taylor from Cuisine & Company also added to the design of the evening with beautiful linens, table decor, and….SUSHI!

Cara and Phil were the nicest couple. They were soooo laid back and fun, and really enjoyed there wedding. From the ceremony to their last dance (Twist & Shout), they partied with their guests all night long! Their musical taste was awesome too, as I was able to pack the Chrysler dance floor with everything from Frank Sinatra and Simon & Garfunkel to Katy Perry and Taio Cruz. The floor stayed packed all night!

The photo booth was, of course, a major hit. Nikki and Kathy, two of our fine Boardwalk staff, attended the booth all night and engineered a beautiful scrapbook guestbook for the bride and groom. I have to give hats off to Kathy as it really was one of the nicest scrapbooks we’ve done yet.

Nikki came to the rescue when the bride and groom were ready to exit. They had hired a Checkered Cab to pick them up in front of the museum. The cab arrived…waited 5 minutes….and left! Nikki volunteered her Lexus as the ultimate exit strategy and…you guessed it…the bride and groom hopped in the back and took off in style.

Thanks Nik!

This was a fantastic night. There was no doubt that Cara, Phil, their families, and friends had a RIDICULOUSLY good time. We all did too. Weddings like this one will spoil you as a vendor. There are just some events that really stand out, and we are so thankful that we were a part of Cara and Phil’s special day.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Crosby!

Kitina & Lewis: An Outer Banks Wedding

This week we had the pleasure of celebrating with Kitina & Lewis at their wedding in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Outer Banks weddings often take place during the week, and Carolyn and I were happy to take a break from the office and head down south on a Wednesday. The wedding was held on the sand right next to the Kitty Hawk Pier. The weather was absolutely beautiful! After the vows, guests immediately entered the reception, which was actually held in a special “ballroom” right on the Kitty Hawk Pier.

If you’re ever interested in booking this unique 2200 square foot space, the arrangements are made through the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Kitty Hawk. The staff of the hotel were excited to hear that a photo booth was coming and commented on how nice our booth was. After the reception, we invited them to take a spin in the photo booth as well.

Kitina gave us a call months ago to make arrangements for one of our Boardwalk photo booths to make an appearance at her wedding. Her guests had never seen a photo booth at a reception before, but after a few trips into the booth – with and without props – they became pros and many commented on how amazing and unique our service was!

We even got invited to bring the booth to Florida and Ohio for weddings. Don’t put it past us….we love to travel! In the end, we presented Kitina and Lewis with a cool scrapbook with all of the pictures and “best wishes” from the guests. We also posted all of their photos online in their own password protected gallery and created a DVD that features every picture that was taken in the photo booth at the wedding.

The Outer Banks is a beautiful place to hold your reception. If you’ve been thinking of a “destination” wedding, a party on the North Carolina coast may be just the ticket. For the price of renting a large venue for a night you can often rent a large multi-bedroom house for a week in the OBX. Many couples hold their weddings mid-week and have their guests stay through the weekend! Talk about bang for your buck! There a many wonderful outdoor activities and restaurants in the area, so your guests will have plenty to do during their visit.

We have many events booked in the OBX over the next few months. From beach houses to ballrooms, we look forward to getting to know some of the local vendors better and spending more time in the Outer Banks.

For more information on our photo booth service for your wedding or upcoming event, just drop us a line at info@boardwalkphotoboothcompany.com or give us a call at 757-510-1508.

The Wedding Event – An Upscale Bridal Show

We were approached months ago about being a part of The Wedding Event, which is a special bridal show happening this Sunday (7/18/2010) from Noon-4:00pm at the beautiful Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel. This is a small show featuring only carefully chosen vendors for each category.

If you are planning an upcoming wedding, you should come and join us on Sunday. You’ll find the registration form here. Because this isn’t a huge bridal show, we as vendors will have lots of time to spend with you. Bridal shows on this scale don’t come around often and really are a nice change of pace, especially if you’ve been overwhelmed in the past.

Here are the vendors you’ll get to meet and spend a little one-on-one time with this Sunday:

Photography: Keith Cephus
Apparel: Maya Couture
Cakes: Patti Cakes
DJ: Arch Entertainment
Event Planning: Antonia Christianson Events
Invitations: RSVP
Ice Sculptures: Ice Art
Hair Salon: G Patton Salon
Rentals: Distinctive Event Rentals
Lighting: Blue Steel Pro Lighting
Videography: Digital Dreamakers
Green Screen Photos: Astro Entertainment
Travel: Travel Designers
Photo Booth: The Boardwalk Photo Booth Company
Health/Fitness: One Life Fitness
Harpist: Vince Zentner
Flowers: Daevid’s

Customizable Front Sign & Majestic Red Velvet Curtains

Lots of pro’s at this event. We aren’t the only company offering rental photo booths in the Hampton Road’s area, so we were delighted to have been chosen for the photo booth category. For Carolyn and I, it’s reward for all of the hard work that we’ve put into the website, the props, the booth itself, and the special “boutique” style touches that really make us stand out. When we went to the drawing board, we took some risks and took lots into consideration when designing our photo booths. We didn’t want to offer our clients the same product that was currently on the market. We wanted to offer them something better in terms of the appearance of the photo booth, the quality of the pictures and printing, and the actual service from start to finish.

We set the bar high for ourselves and our business. To be so well received by other professionals in the industry (and all of the happy clients who’ve chosen our service) really is an honor and we are looking forward to the rest of 2010 and a truly exciting 2011 as our fleet of photo booths continues to expand.

Boardwalk Vintage External Phto Booth Sign

If you are considering a photo booth for your upcoming wedding, you’ll definitely want to stop by and say hi. Carolyn and I will have the booth fired up and ready for action this Sunday, so not only will you get to meet some of the best wedding vendors in town, but you’ll also get to take some photos home with you.

We hope to see you this Sunday!

Nordstrom Twilight Eclipse Photo Booth Event

Nordstrom recently hosted a Twilight Takeover party at their MacArthur Center store and asked us to join them. As huge fans of the Twilight Saga ourselves, we couldn’t resist, and the photo booth was featured in their Junior’s department to showcase their Nordstrom BP line of Twilight-themed clothing. We branded the photo booth for the event with a custom outer sign and velvet black curtains. Lots of people got to take a spin in the photo booth and the Twilight buzz was in the air. Unfortunately, the real Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner weren’t on hand to ham it up in the photo booth. That would’ve been sweet!

What team are you on?

We still don’t know if we’re for Team Jacob or Team Edward…but if the stars had been there, just imagine how their photo strips might have looked!

Welcome to our blog!

OK, we admit it. We’re a little late to the blogging game. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed being blogged by our good friends at Hampton Roads Photography and Pike Media Resource, so we’ve decided to jump on the band wagon. We’ll be blogging our friends in the industry and updating everyone on all of our booth events. Wedding season is upon us, and they’ll be plenty of “photo booth love” to spread.

Stay tuned.

Congratulations Lions!
